Donate to ForestWatch and send Bea a birthday message!
Bea is ForestWatch’s first centenarian. Join us in sending her the warmest of wishes on her 100th birthday and make a donation in Bea’s honor to a cause that’s near and dear to her heart—protecting the outdoors. We will send your birthday message to Bea and it will make her so happy to hear from friends and strangers alike who share her love for the natural world.
Bea was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1920, the daughter of immigrants. She worked at Superman comics, answering fan club letters as Lois Lane. She followed her soldier and graphic artist boyfriend out to the wild West that Arizona was in the early 1940s where she and her husband built a life and a robust photography business.
Her husband, Bob, traveled around Arizona for decades photographing for Arizona Highways, so they have always had an appreciation for the West since the day they arrived. Her daughter, Terri, serves on our Board of Directors and developed her love of nature from the many trips she took with her parents exploring the nooks and crannies through a photographer’s eye.
Bea is very concerned about the current administration’s multiple attacks on the environment and wants to leave her children and grandchildren with a healthy and safe planet. Let’s all wish her the happiest of birthdays!
