Our
volunteers can be found doing all sorts of work, like monitoring
forest damage, leading hikes, helping out at special events,
and attending mailing parties. Volunteers
are essential to many of our programs. We're currently looking
for help with:
-
Community
Events – Help us organize and prepare for events around town, such as public workshops, hikes, and tabling at
events and festivals.
-
Fundraising Events - Assist us with house parties and other
fundraising events to help support our programs.
-
Mailing
Parties – Join us as we stuff envelopes, label our newsletters,
and socialize. We provide the food and drinks!
-
Field Monitoring -
Spend a day in the field to monitor and record environmental damage.
Requires long days in remote areas of the forest.
-
Habitat Restoration -
We currently have three habitat restoration projects: (1)
microtrash cleanups to protect condors, (2) fence removal
projects to give pronghorn antelope the freedom to roam, and
(3) survey and removal of invasive tamarisk plants along
rivers.
-
Special
Projects – If you have a creative talent to offer or would like
to contribute your area of expertise, we might be able to put
your skills to work on one of our special projects.
If you’re
