Southern California Artists Painting for the Environment (SCAPE) will bring the Los Padres National Forest to the Faulkner Gallery at the Santa Barbara Public Library with their art exhibit and sale, “Wilderness to Gallery, Painting to Protect the Los Padres National Forest” during the month of July, 2011.

Featuring the works of local backcountry artist Robert Wassell
Fox Fine Jewelry, 210 E Main St, Old Town Ventura

Local backcountry artist Robert Wassell will feature his oil paintings of the Los Padres National Forest backcountry in his art show titled "Los Padres Wilderness Trails." JANUARY 22-23 (Sat-Sun), 2011
FENCE REMOVAL TO BENEFIT PRONGHORN ANTELOPE
Carrizo Plain National Monument

Come party with the pronghorn! A vast network of old ranching fences criss-cross the Carrizo Plain, and native pronghorn antelope are not able to jump over them. Join us to work on a fence removal project so that the pronghorn (North America's fastest land mammal) can once again run free on the plain. We'll also plan an optional hike for Sunday afternoon. Work starts early Saturday morning, so many people arrive Friday evening and camp. Dinner provided Saturday night, followed by a campfire under the stars. More details will be provided to registered participants. Contact Suzanne Feldman at (805) 617-4610 ext.3 for more information and to register.
