Wild Trivia & Bingo

ForestWatch hosts regular events to test your nature trivia and to quench your thirst for bingo (and beer!). These fun nights take place throughout our region at places like Topa Topa Brewing Co. in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Ojai, and Oak and Otter Brewing Co. in San Luis Obispo. Join us!

Film Screenings

ForestWatch hosts film screenings to highlight some of our region’s most urgent and poignant environmental issues. We’ve hosted tour stops for the Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival, and screenings of the films Damnation and Elemental. Our film screenings sometimes include a pre-film reception, raffles and information booths, and post-film panels with filmmakers and influencers.

The Wilderness Table

This new ForestWatch event series invites guests to indulge in a culinary journey celebrating local flavors and sustainable practices in an outdoor setting. These Wilderness Table events raise critical funds to support ForestWatch’s work to protect public lands and wildlife along California’s central coast. At our inaugural Wilderness Table in May 2025, guests enjoyed craft cocktails, a vineyard tour, and an exquisite meal prepared on site and complemented with local, sustainable, organic, and biodynamic wines.

Community Hikes

Our free hikes and nature walks take small groups into the forest for a fun adventure, highlighting the places we work to protect. Led by ForestWatch staff or local naturalists, these outdoor excursions are an excellent way to learn more about the nature that surrounds us. From short walks focusing on native plants, to longer jaunts in remote areas, we love exploring the wilds, near and far, with those who believe as strongly as we do about the need to protect it.

Webinars

Exploring the hot topics of today, to the history of yesterday and the future of conservation tomorrow, our webinars take a deep dive into critical issues about public lands and wildlife. Just register, tune in online, or view a recording afterwards. The more we know, the better advocates we all can be. Visit our Youtube Channel to view our lineup of past webinars.

What People Say

Hi, my name is Lucas and I am 9 years old. Los Padres ForestWatch does lots of things, like helping save California condors. They also help stop oil drilling in the Los Padres National Forest because it hurts wildlife. They also organize really good hikes. One time I went on a hike that ForestWatch organized with Congressman Carbajal. It was really fun because he let me talk about the wildlife that lives in the creek in Rattlesnake Canyon on the hike. ForestWatch also helps clean up trash everywhere they go. One time we were looking for fossils in the Los Padres National Forest and we saw a big pile of trash. We stopped and picked up the trash. Also I did my first backpacking trip in the Los Padres National Forest. So it’s important to protect the wildlife so that other families can have the same opportunity as I did. So I really hope everyone can support ForestWatch.
