Carrizo Plain Fence Removal Project
Sign-up form to volunteer at the October 27th fence removal project on the Carrizo Plain.

We are organizing a team of 15 volunteers to help remove fencing left behind by decades-old cattle ranching on the Carrizo Plain National Monument. Our good friends at the Carrizo Plain Conservancy recently purchased the last piece of private land along Soda Lake and they are donating it to the Bureau of Land Management. This small but important land parcel will soon be public land as part of the national monument. We want to remove this fencing to help improve wildlife movement across the plain.

Volunteers will meet at the Goodwin Ranch in the national monument at 9:30 AM. We will work until around noon before heading back to the ranch for a small celebration of the land conveyance. Volunteers are welcome to stay for the celebratory event where there will be refreshments and guest speakers. The event will last until 1:30 PM.

You will be sent an email with information about where to meet and what to bring after you sign up. Space will be limited and you will have to find your own transportation to the national monument. Please email Bryant Baker at bryant@lpfw.org with any questions.
